Ashok, Very good suggestions. We might adopt a few of the as suggested by you.

Hi Amit/Vinod: This is a common problem as the group gets larger; but a good problem to have. Possible solutions: A. Expand the time slot for the meet up. B. Take turns singing in alternate meet ups, but attend to support the singers. C. Increase the number of duets. D. Two people sing a song together with alternate verse.(in my experience this raises the singing to a higher level). Just some thoughts. Its not perfect.

Thanks to everybody who participated and also each and everyone who helped to set up and wrap up. Vinod and Kush, thanks to both of you for your tremendouns effort to keep the sound system going. Next meetup onwards, we will follow a sequence so that each participating member should get a fair chance of singing solos and duets. I am aware of the fact that a few of the members did not even get a chance. some members just got to sing one song.

Thanks to all that contributed to the "party spread" at the table and to Vijaya for coordinating the set-up and clearing :) Already looking forward to the next! :)

It's sad that we couldn't get to hear ur voices as much as we would have liked to :( But having said that, Vinod, if u were not behind the scene as much as u were, the rest of us wouldn't have been able to sing as much! Thanks SO much! Maybe for the next meet up and the following, we shld have a pattern so that every member sings/plays? no excuses!!! :)

Dear Amit da, take this opportunity to congratulate you for the effort you have taken to organise not only this meetup but also the previous meetups. It gives encouragement to young music learners like me to perform infront of live audience and also learn from my fellow singers.Have a desire to listen to more of your synthesizer fusions along with Debu da in tabla which could not happen in this meetup due to shortage of time.

Another evening of wonderful, spontaneous music amongst singers, musicians and enthsiastic listeners encouraging and appreciating each other!

Just ot let you know that parking may be an issue for tomorrow. you may have to look for a parking space and walk a few blocks to ArtSpace. The reason being Herndon hosts "Friday Night Live" around the same area from 6:30 to 10:3o pm.

We are all set for August 7th. The paper work is complete and everything is finalized. Keep the RSVP going. The address is also posted in this site. I have also started a new discussion. I would like to know your comments about holding the meetups in ArtSpace Herndon, 4 times a year.

I am sure we can identify with this group and would also like this group to grow. To strengthen our group's relationship with Art Space we would encourage you to show your support for Art Space by donating whatever you think is appropriate when you come on August 7th. Keep an eye on this website for the address. I am going to publish the address soon.

As I mentioned our Meetup is "going places". We have been invited by Art Space of Herndon to host one of our meetup in their facilities. Art Space is an organization supported by lovers of visual and performing arts. This group is working to provide a forum to passionate artists and art lovers. am sure we can identify with this group and would also like this group to grow.

We are alomost on the verge of finalizing the venue for August 7th meetup. vinod and I had a very productive meeting with the folks of art gallery. We are just waiting for some paper works to be completed. I will update everybody once the paper works are completed. Lookout for Vinod's update on this website to know more about the meetup.

Hi folks, I have not seen any message/postings from any member about scheduling a meetup for July 24, 2009. This is the schedule date for the second meetup for the month. As I said earlier, I will not be able to attend this. If you want to meet please let me know and I will schedule it. Somebody has to host the meetup at their place.
