The Indian Association of Western Washington, India Arts and Heritage Society and Monsoon Masala blog invite the community to join in a:

Memorial service for the victims of the Mumbai terror attacks.

We will be handcrafting "Diyas"- traditional Indian clay lamps as a symbol of ending the darkness of ignorance that breeds violence. Each diya will be hand made jointly by an Indian and a Pakistani person to signify genuine love and respect for both countries.

Date: Saturday, Dec 6, 2008

Diya making: 3 p.m. to 4p.m.

Memorial Service: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Venue: Conference Room, Thomson Hall, University of Washington, Seattle
The event is free and open to the public.
